A number of my friends are not working today in solidarity. But most notable, to me, is that Mission Street, next to my house, is totally shut down. People are on the streets, but 80% of the shops appear to be closed. They're nearly always open; I've never seen Mission look like that before.
(For you non-locals, the Mission neighborhood is the Latino neighborhood. So, this observation isn't surprising, just strange looking.)
